The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers participated in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really happening.
